Marty's Superb Website

CREATIVE DIRECTOR • EDUCATOR • SILLY PERSON

This is a superb movie I made. Can you see? Concentrate....

Here at Marty's Superb Web Site you will encounter many superb things. Hello, I am Marty Buccafusco, and this is my superb portfolio. I've made work for Coca-Cola, MTV, NBC Universal, and Nickelodeon, and built the AI-assisted pipelines that let a small team shoot the world from one stage. Off the clock, I run live multicam shows for a crowd that screams back. When I'm not directing, I'm teaching someone else how.

This superb web site is best viewed with the superb version of Netscape 2.0.

I'm an Atlanta-based creative director, educator, and pro wrestling promoter with more than 20 years of making video, motion, and brand work for some of the biggest names in media.

Most recently, I spent six years at The Coca-Cola Company's in-house creative agency. I joined as a Producer/Editor and eventually built video production into a team of 10 creatives. I was promoted to Creative Director, and for years we served internal clients from the Chairman's Office to Global Marketing. The goal from the jump was to do cool things and have fun in the process. We made silly game shows, built a mini golf course out of Coke cans, and filmed cowboys on horseback in the mountains of Montana. More importantly, we inspired one another and had plenty of laughs along the way.

Like many of us, I've been playing with AI for the last few years, incorporating it cautiously into my workflow and design processes. I've embraced it, and as a result my work has improved in both speed and quality. It's helped me punch above my weight class by supporting our work rather than replacing it.

Before Coca-Cola, I produced, edited, and did some motion design for MTV Networks, NBC Universal's NBC 4 New York, Nickelodeon, and other clients around New York City. I also earned a master's degree in Digital Media Design for Learning from NYU, which was an incredible detour. After moving to Atlanta in 2016, I ran the Film & Video program at DeKalb School of the Arts, where we doubled enrollment and I was named a S.T.A.R. Teacher in my first year.

Off the clock, I run Deep South Wrestling, where we produce free monthly pro wrestling shows here in Atlanta. That means a regular multicam webcast, a strong social media presence, and active community engagement, including our much-ballyhooed DSW Kids Summer Camp.
